Family Reunion

July 28-30th 2017

An opportunity for our family and friends to gather in the Northwest for a reunion and wedding. We look forward to hosting this event at Oleanna, our campground on the Duckabush River, near the east entrance to the Olympic National Park. Oleanna's old growth forest on a mountain river offers a unique setting for fireside conversation and sharing, hiking, sightseeing and a wilderness experience. Oleanna is within a day trip of Seattle, Victoria, BC, Hurricane Ridge, and Port Townsend. The Olympic Peninsula offers many vacation choices. We will have three days of activities for the reunion and wedding, and Oleanna will be open for visiting and camping the week before and after the event.

Wedding Gifts

Many of you are asking. Matthew and Kristin request the gift of your participation in their wedding. If you are able and interested, there is a massive effort in the week preceding the wedding to finish building a magical hobbit house, and with numerous preparations for the wedding event itself, assistance is greatly appreciated. If not, financial contributions for wedding expenses, building expenses, and post-wedding retreat expenses, are also appreciated. We do not have a wedding registry.

This is a DIY wedding. There are many tasks and volunteers are sought.

  • We need musicians for the post wedding procession. Bring your instruments, drums, kazoos, tambourines, shakers, castanets, slide whistles etc. "Band" practice Friday evening.
